Our brand new Jones Lang LaSalle balloon was in action this weekend at the Classic Car Wheeze, held at Clifton College, Bristol. This event brings together beautiful classic cars, in the stunning setting of the college grounds. Clifton College is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year, and Jones Lang LaSalle are sponsoring a series of events at the college. The Jones Lang LaSalle balloon will be in attendance at many of these. So keep an eye out for the balloon at up and coming events.

Airship flying

Members of the Spirit team recently had a brief spell flying an airship in the Dominican Republic. Hot air airships are now becoming a recognised cost effective solution to their traditional and much more expensive helium counterparts. Packing down at the end of operations in much the same way a hot air balloon would. They are very mobile, and do not require lengthy, costly, transit flights. Operate in one city in the AM and be up and running in another city hundreds of miles way in the PM. True cost effective versatility, a must in any advertising campaign. Monster off to the Frisian Balloon Fiesta

The monster special shape, privately owned by Spirit directors, will be off to this years Frisian Balloon fiesta, in the Netherlands. Trump as he is affectionately known last year visited their sister balloon fiesta Twente.

These balloon meets are a firm favourite of team Spirit due to the warmth and hospitality shown by the organisers. Trump will then, at the end of the European summer, make his way to the USA where he will be available for balloon meets and other events. 2012 Virgin London Marathon

This years Virgin London Marathon was a huge success with 37,000 runners and over 170,000 spectators at the start line. We were there to unveil our latest client Jones Lang LaSalle, this is a fantastic balloon built by our friends at Lindstrand Balloons. The balloon featured at the start of the race to provide a spectacle for the spectators, and runners as they wait for the race to get underway.

This year saw beautiful sunshine. Showers had been forecasted, but thankfully stayed away for the duration of the event. The wind was lively at times, but all tether slots were achieved.

Jones Lang LaSalle received great media coverage featuring on BBC news, BBC live marathon coverage, and we even received a report that it was seen on CBC news in Canada.

The new balloon (a Lindstrand 77A) will now be seen at many events across the UK, as this balloon gears up for a full summer season of operations.

Congratulations to all those who completed the marathon, and to all the sponsorship money that was raised for many worthy causes.

Wiseman Welly Walks

Wiseman Welly Walks are series of events to raise funds for Hospice care. They will be happening at various locations across the UK this summer, for this important cause. The Robert Wiseman Dairies balloon, with it’s famous cow print design, will be on hand at selected events to provide moral support for the Welly walkers. Please come and say hello and give a Welly wave if you see the Robert Wiseman Dairies balloon team.
